VP R&D

We are seeking a VP of R&D to join our rapidly growing startup. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in system architecture and hands-on coding, coupled with exceptional communication skills.

The VP of R&D will be responsible for leading the design and development of the next generation of our platform from the ground up. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong background in AI, ML, security, and encryption. The ideal candidate will also possess experience in integrating third-party ERPs. Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of the second generation of Sourtech’s platform.
• Hire and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Implement advanced AI and ML techniques to enhance platform capabilities.
• Ensure the highest levels of security and encryption throughout the platform.
• Drive integration with third-party ERP systems to enhance platform functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with technology vendors and research institutions.
• Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading R&D teams, with a focus on SaaS and marketplace platforms.
• Strong background in AI, ML.
• Experience with third party integrations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
