We are looking for a Project Coordinator to oversee the full lifecycle of procurement projects, ensuring smooth execution from submission to delivery. This role requires close collaboration with our sales team, proactive project management, and strong communication with global vendors to maintain high-quality outcomes and efficient lead times. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee projects from submission to final delivery, ensuring all milestones, deadlines, and quality requirements are met.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to understand project requirements, technical specifications, and customer expectations.
- Vendor Coordination: Maintain relationships with global suppliers, ensuring timely responses, competitive pricing, and adherence to quality standards.
- Technical Review: Evaluate technical drawings and specifications to ensure supplier compatibility and feasibility of production.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and address potential delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies in orders, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve them efficiently.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve project workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize lead times.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, supplier performance, and any challenges encountered, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
- Potential to manage a team in both Israel and the U.S. in the future.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from the Technion, Tel Aviv University, or Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
- Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management within a mechanical or manufacturing environment, preferably in a leading international company (not a shipping company).
- Strong understanding of technical drawings for mechanical components (machining, sheet metal, etc.).
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in fast-paced procurement environments.
Advantages
- A financial background, strong technical/engineering skills, or experience working with customers (sales ability) and suppliers (outside Israel).
- Familiarity with working alongside mechanical engineers and procurement professionals.
- Experience in international trade and logistics for mechanical parts.
- Proficiency in project tracking tools and ERP systems.
- Working with carrier companies to facilitate the import and export of packages.
